    truncated class file

I'm running the JavaStar beta released on 8/9/99.
I had been running the alpha release.

Now with the beta, when I bring up my app
in JavaStar I get this message:

com.sun.slp.SlpUI.main under test threw an exception.
    java.lang.ClassFormatError: Truncated class file

...and the app doesn't come up.

I get this when I try to record, or playback a test recorded with the alpha version.
The app runs fine outside of JS. I don't get this message in alpha.

    Anyone else get this message?

    Re: truncated class file

    Hi -

It sounds like you are using a Unix machine for testing. My experience is with the NT platform.

Unless you have a compelling reason to move to the Beta version, I would suggest sticking with the latest JavaStar version that worked okay for you. Many times the fresh releases of JavaStar don't work so hot.

Also - unless you are using a very recent version of the JDK, there really isn't much of a reason to use one of the alpha or beta versions of JavaStar. These don't tend to be very usable in my experience.

    Re: truncated class file

This has been fixed in the Beta2 version of Javastar 2.0.
