javastar on jre vs jdk
I am looking for some opinions regarding the use of javastar and the jdk vs jre. Our group develops a product that we ship with the sun 1.1.6 jre for several platforms. Early on we noticed runtime differences between the jre and the jdk, and as a result, we've been running javastar from the jre since our customers will be running with the jre. However, recent versions of the jre cause javastar to core dump on Solaris (but not NT)
Is anyone else using javastar with the jre rather than the jdk for similatr reasons? Has anyone seen issues running under the jre?
