Parameter use in test script creation
When starting to create a test script my application stops after the login screen. The issue appears to be caused by a parameter normally passed in the bat file that is missing on the startup in test creation mode. Can anyone tell me how to pass this parm (stubNettech = true) in Jstar.
Re: Parameter use in test script creation
There are some parameters to be specified for the ''target'' application when running JavaStar. You can find this area in the Project window of the JavaStar applicaiton, under the ''App'' tab or page. Enter whatever parameters you want to be passed to the ''target'' application in the field titled ''Args:''. For example, I pass ''/VERBOSE'' to my target application when launching. For your specific case, you probably want to specify ''stubNettech = true''. It remains to be seen whether you want to do this with quotes or not, but most likely you don't want to include spaces around the equals sign unless the program specifically is looking for that. Try all the possibilities and it may work.
Also, if you are stuck in a modal dialog in the target application, you can press CONTROL/ALT/F7 or CONTROL/SHIFT/F7 to get a menu to appear. Clicking in INTERACT generally will allow you to proceed by typing required information in the dialog and clicking in OK button ( or whatever it takes to proceed from that dialog ). You should note that going into INTERACT mode when playing back a script generally aborts the playback session.
