Create new record (for one variable) multiple time
I am facing the below mentioned issue.
I log into an application.
After few navigation I enter a menu optin where I can create a Template. I go ahead with the Template compose steps and click Save. After Save click the focus is on another page where the Template created is listed.
After that I log out of the application.
I have recorded the whole process.
I want to create multiple records with only the Template name each time a different one. Other detaisl can be same. I want to iterate this in between the Log In and Log Out action.
I have used Data Bank Wizard with a Data Bank File having the different data for the Template Name field and iterated the script but after playack the script is creating a new record with the Template Name same as the one which I had used during recording.
And moreover it is Loggin in and logging out for eact iteration.
How to iterate between the Log in and Log Out?
Any guidance will be of great help.
Re: Create new record (for one variable) multiple time
Best way to do this is to set the script up as a job under job scheduler with just the main transaction databanked. You will basically have 3 scripts chained together under job scheduler:
template script (databanked and marked to iterate)
you can then call the job from the command line or run it from the built in scheduler
