what is the "A2 plaback" and "no merge" in edit menu properties option.it is giving some different behavior while playingback when i check the above options as enabled.
Re: A2 playback
Good question! That setting, A2 Playback, is there to tell e-Tester (oops, I mean Oracle Functional Test) to play back the navigation by parsing and assembling an http request rather than having the navigation happen by the replication of automated events on html objects. Basically instead of stimulating the browser to do a navigation by clicking on say a link, it will go in and extract the href of the link and assemble that into an http call.
The "no merge" setting instructs OFT no to merge new html content into the visual script so, for example, if a parameter name is changing from run to run you won't end up will 100 parameter nodes after 100 iterations ... just the one that was there in the first place. Be careful with this setting as it also will disable your line by line difference testing.
