Can E-Load accomodate file download application?
Hi, we have a web application whereby users would download a CSV file containing the output data.
I used the E-tester to simulate what a user would do, and the test worked fine. However, when I implement the scenario in E-Load, an error message always appear:
'Fatal Dialog detected: File Download - While files from the Internet can be use...'
Has anyone here tried E-Load on application with file download before? I'm kinda a newbie in web app testing, so any help would be appreciated
PS: How can I read the complete error message?
Re: Can E-Load accomodate file download application?
Yup, just make sure you are using thin client. The error you are describing is probably due to thick client playback under e-Load rather than thin client. During the load test you don't want to be saving the document, only downloading the data for timing purposes and then get rid of the data. The last thing you want to do is fill up your disk drive with lots of copies of a downloaded file
