i exported that "Http Monitored Bytes/Seconds Vs ElapsedTime" in to Excel. In that Http Monitored Bytes increased to 1e+006 at the 0th ElapsedTime and again the monitored bytes slown down to Zero at the 2nd Elapsed Time. What is this?.I want to know what is this Http Monitored Bytes and What is through put?.
I am new guy,so please guide me the to measure throughput from the above graph values.
Or you can count timers and get an idea of how much work of a specific type was done. Excel is a good way to do this and there is a spreadsheet you can download from the OpenSTA.org community section to do this.
With that said, total network traffic (at least to and from the OpenSTA server(s) is a great relative measurement of throughput.
Throughput measures the RATE of something. Decide what is meaningful to measure in your workload. Could be script completion rate, orders completion rate, etc. You need to decide what is meaningful to count. After you count, divide by the elapsed time and you have THROUGHPUT.
Run many tests and graph throughput vs VUs. The point where this graph becomes non-linear in the point where you system under test has a bottleneck. Above this point response times typically get much worse with small increases in load.
The point where this curve reaches a maximum determines the maximum capacity limit of the system under test.
