Batch Ramp up Time in VU settings?
In the Commander->testPane->VU settings->Introduce Virtual users in batch mode
there is an option to Enter the "Batch Ramp up Time (seconds)"
Suppose my scenario
interval between batches=10
no of virtual user per batch=2
Batch Ramp up time=5
for the above scenario,
Firstly fifth second test will start, after the 2user executed the test.it has to wait for 10 sec.then the batch ramp up time=5,so the Test will again start at 15th seconds?
please ensure me that am i understood in a right way?
Thanks in Advance
Re: Batch Ramp up Time in VU settings?
I could answer your question, but I think an illustration would help you most. Set up a test with these parameters, run it, and monitor the VUs vs Elapsed time graph. If you are running windows XP, goto the monitoring tab and check the "total active users". You will see a graph that is updated in real time that shows active users increasing and decreasing with time. If this graph does not display or does not update in real time, instead goto the results tab, open the running test, and check HTTP Active Users vs Elapsed time. This is not dynamically updated, so you will need to close and open it periodically. Keep in mind that the units for the parameters you mentioned is seconds so things will happen fast. Another factor that will change this graph significantly is what happens after a script finishes. If a script is set to run only one time, the VU will become idle and the active user count decremented.
