we have recorded script for test scenario, after recording completed in our script ,it contains all the Primary GET Request, not other GET requests are captured.but the scripted pages have links and images, style sheet. All the requests in the script are Primary GET request,no other GET requests are captured.why only All primary GET request recored?.
Please let me know your inputs.I hope my question make sense.
Use a tool like Fiddler to verify what the browser is downloading. You are correct in your expectation that you should see a primary get and if the response contains references to other files (style sheets, images, etc) then your browser SHOULD be downloading them and the OpenSTA gateway SHOULD be recording those (usually as gets sometimes as primary gets depending on the "referrer attribute in the header". Perhaps your script has for some reason captured all the gets (the main plus any related files) all as primary gets. If so, be aware that the there is absolutely no difference between a PRIMARY GET and a GET command. The word PRIMARY is only inserted if the "referrer" attribute has no value and is there to help make the script more readable. If, according to fiddler, the secondary files are being downloaded and the gateway has completely missed them, thats a more complicated issue. Review your script and report back if the secondary files are completely missing or if they have just be recorded as PRIMARY GETS and that had you confused (and rightfully so).
