I have a doubt, can anyone tell me how the Response Time of POST request is calculated.
e.g. If we click of Login button the POST request is sent and then one more request is shown which is the GET request and this request gives the Home page.
If that GET request gives the response time to send the Home Page to client machine, then what is mean by response time for POST request?
My guess is that you POST the data to the server. The server then works out if it's a valid login or not. If it is valid it sends you back a redirect (HTTP response code 3xx) that then tells your browser to go to the home page. Your browser then sends the GET request for the home page.
The response time for the POST request is the time taken to get back the HTTP 3xx response.
If this were me, I'd wrap a Timer around the whole transaction (POST and GET) and use this to tell me how long it took.
Everywhere's within walking distance if you have enough time.
