The PeopleSoft Enterprise application server serves HTML
OpenSTA will not support java script functions (even most of the commercial tools are not supporting unless their scripting is java based). But we can implement the same using custom codes.
Ultimately the URLs sent to the server will be captured. Just we have to pay extra attention to the pages in which business logic is implemented through java script.
yes Morty has it right. OpenSTA is used for simulating clients at the application protocol level (HTTP). It is used for testing the server side, so specific client-side functionality is largely irrelevant.
In simpler terms.. we usually don't care what goes on in the client and how it is implemented, all we care about is the streams of HTTP that the client uses to communicate with the server.
OpenSTA has its own programming language (SCL) that is used to implement any custom logic and parameterization necessary to make your simulation as realistic as possible.
