How to include Java Class on OpenSTA?
My company is using OpenSTA for "Load & Performance" test. I used it for half year. Basically, it is good for static web pages tests. I am impressed by its reports, too.
We come to a new cases.
How can I run an external java file within SCL? So, each Virtual User will run different instance.
Or, is it possible to import a java class? As I read the OpenSTA SCL guide, there is no such section.
Re: How to include Java Class on OpenSTA?
You can't use java classes in SCL. it's a simple scripting language that contains limited instructions allowing just to make basic (and necessary) tasks needed in a load test.
but i can suggest you an idea : the instruction "CONNECT" allow you to connect to a remote web server and interact with it using HTTP. so, you can for example create a web application where you can put extended processing that you can't to make using SCL (using servlets for example).
otherwise, the alone way to improve SCL is extending the source code of the language engine ...a possible way where OpenSTA is open source.
