How do I parameterize file uploads in SCL?

Trying to record the file upload url to server using OpenSTA 1.4.3, It records the content of the file in the code. I have seen commercial tools record only url & rest is handled inside so that u can parameterize the file name for multiple users. Is this the only way it records in OpenSTA? How to parameterize this?

Re: How do I parameterize file uploads in SCL?

The OpenSTA SCL generated by a recording will always contain exactly what happened during the recording, there is no simplified view of the transactions. To parametize you would provide the file body content in the POST commands BODY - read up on the HTTP multipart/form-data body content format on how to do this. One helper OpenSTA SCL replay provides is that it will override the Content-Length: header with the real content length and ignore that provided in the script.
