Currently I am in the middle of testing applicatiosns that are running on Virtuoso. The problem I am running into is with Socket Errors. For some reason whenever I run a test, I seem to get a ton of socket errors. Can anyone help me out with this. And I get this:
IO failed for VU 1-24 on connection 23/6 with error 258: (The wait operation timed out. ).
Timeout generated for socket 0x8b4
Can anyone help me figure this out?
Re: Socket Errors
is this happening if u run a single user or only under load?
a socket timeout means that you have reached some limit on your server and it is not responding in time. There is somewhere in OpenSTA where you can set the timeout threshhold. But if you are hitting, this limit, your server is having problems.
basically, this error means you have gone past your servers load limit.. which is a good thing in terms of what your load test is trying to achieve
