I'm not actually testing the file upload itself, but the page that has an upload section uses the Upload object's .Form method to request variables from the form. For example:
Set cSAUpload = Server.CreateObject("SoftArtisans.FileUp")
strSomeFormVariable = cSAUpload.Form("txtSomeFormVariable")
Then when I post to this page, it never actually fills out the cSAUpload object correctly (or at all) and the stored procedure fails. I have tried to mess with the Content-Type and the Body but that hasn't made any difference. Any ideas?
well, im not an expert at all and what your describing sounds completely unfamiliar to me. im not sure why you show us an example of what looks like either some .NET or Java code because dont most people use a POST rather than a GET to push a file up to a server? i hope you figure out an answer, but in the mean time, why is it that a POST is not an option for you?
It's actually VBScript, but that's not really the issue here. What I was trying to outline was the fact that I am not trying to upload a file, but rather POST a bunch of form variables to a page that has that option. All the form variables I am posting are requested using the Upload object (cSAUpload) in the following manner(strSomeFormVariable = cSAUpload.Form("txtSomeFormVariable")). The data is posted using a Content-Type of multipart form-data (which I'm told OpenSTA has a problem with) and it is not filling out the form elements on playback. Any ideas?
