Please look the file attached 'Timers' - When downloading it change in to 'CSV'
My queries are
1)What is active users?
I configured 25 VU from 1 client used the default settings
2)UserId --> what does this mean? From where it is picking this value? where can i modify this in to an understandable one
If I take the average of the timer values of an particular timer say 'T_BUYER_TIMER_LOGIN' will it give the average response time
Re: Understanding Timers
Active user: The number of users active at this point of the test. Will be less than or equal to the # of VUs configured. Can be less due to ramp up or if a script exits and the VU is not configured to run another script.
You may have configured a test with 25 users but no more than 5 active users were running at any time. By default, after a VU finishes a single iteration of a script, nothing more will be done by that VU. If you ramped 25 users over 30 minutes and it only took 1 minute to run the script, you would never have more than 1 VU active. Now, if you want to change this behavior, you have two choices.
1) Set the test to run for a spacific period of time. In commander click on the START column of the task group (2nd column, by default it has a watch icon and the work immediate). Select "stop task group" drop down list box to "after a fixed time" and then enter the hours:minutes:seconds in the box below". Now whenever a VU finishes a script, it will rerun that script from the very top.
2)click on the script name in commaner and set the behavior for task (script) termination. You can set a time you want the script to loop for or the number of iterations.
Userid format is Injector#-Usernumber. Unfortunately, excel sees 1-1 or 2-10 as a date! strip off the first two characters in excel to see the true userid.
If you average the values for response time you will indeed get average response time. There is an excel spreadsheet available to do this an a lot more via a pivot table. Read more and download here http://portal.opensta.org/index.php?...cle&sid=43
