[stupid is as stupid does] Question about OpenSTA Test ...PLease HELP
I have installed OpenSTA on 2 new machines and am trying to run tests for approx 800 virtual users each... and I keep getting a "Waiting Enabled" status. It stays that way for over 30 mins and doesn't do anything. I am wondering why this is so. The scripts have been confirmed to be working properly. I have searched the whole internet and found some suggestions on this site but nothign seems to work.
OpenSTA does not even have anything concerning Test Status on their websites and other documentation so I have no idea what this annoying status means. Please can soemone help me with this? Thank you very much

Let me see if I understand this.
You run the scripts correctly through the modeller, so you know they work (you said they have been confirmed).
When you run a test with 800 users you get a status of "waiting enabled".
Have you done anything in between?
I would have guessed that "waiting enabled" means that OpenSTA has reached a "wait" command in the script and is waiting. However if you had a long wait in your script you would have noticed during the test in the modeler, so maybe it also goes to this state too when it's waiting for the server.
So, have you tried running the test for 10 users, 100 users?
What is the server doing? Is it running normally, or is it flat out trying to service requests? How many users can your system support before you get this "waiting enabled" problem?
