    Memory Leak Testing using OpenSTA.

    I have created a thread http://www.sqaforums.com/showflat.php?Ca...SID=#Post500615

Now the thing is I want to use OpenSTA for the same. i.e. for Memory Leak Testing.

If you can suggest, which all queries of NT Performance Collector can fulfill my requirement.

Re: Memory Leak Testing using OpenSTA.

If I understand this correctly, you want to run a soak test using OpenSTA to identify any memory leaks.
And you want to know which NT performance counters to use to help you identify the memory leak.

The counter I would watch for signs of memory leak would be "available MBytes" and "Pool Nonpaged Bytes". If the amount of available memory reduces as your test runs then there's a sign of a leak. Similarly if you have a rising value of Pool Nonpaged bytes then it's also a sign.

Some more NT performance counters can be found here:

Alternatively Google for the terms "nt performance counters memory leak".

Everywhere's within walking distance if you have enough time.
