Implementing .Net Framework
Our Department has made the decision to implement a .Net framework. Currently our website is developed using ASP.
Its a complex website - consiting of a variety of applications that all talk to different databases around the company, if its not databases then there are simple xls spreadsheets that exported that provide data.
Having a brief look on MSDN and the Microsoft website, - my understanding is that part of the upgrade/implementation means our ASP code will be converted into something called RUNTIME. From a testing perspective my main focus should be on Data - validation rather then functionality or are they both equally as important?
On another note we have current test conditions (all manual on test director) given the short time we have to carry out testing I would like to transfer alot of these functional tests on to QTP, and then the focus of Manual tests can be on Data validation.
Am I going inthe right direction and is my understanding corret?
