Measuring Page load time (including page rendering time) using Neoload
Is there a way to get the page load time (includes rendering time) using Neoload. I have a requirement to measure the page load time (time to load all the controls on the page). Currently, I am using HTTPWatch to measure the same and I am in the process of recommending a tool to automate the entire process of measuring page load time (without and with load), measure the other performance parameters such as CPU and Mem utilization, Network bandwidth, etc.
Please help me on this.
There is way to get the page load time in firefox with Firebug add on.
Click on Net in the firbug it will give you all the details of load time for each object in the page.
In addition to the previously mentioned plug-in, you might also explore YSlow - Official Open Source Project Website or Dynatrace AJAX edition (both free).
Personally, including these measurements as part of the load testing process doesn't make a lot of sense to me. They are really two different discipline and not related to each other. My recommendation is to keep these measurements as part of different testing processes.
