A brand new approach for mobile test automation
I've posted a couple of video on my blog about a new approach for mobile test automation.
I'd be interested to get feedback on this thread about this technology which allows you to test inside the application itself, recording every single actions, events, gesture and replaying them on actual devices at their exact same speed and velocity.
Watch the video if you have 5 minutes and let me know what you think. Would it solved some of the challenges you're facing today?
Looking forward a good discussion!
Re: A brand new approach for mobile test automation
I definitely will take a look. Thank YOU!
My initial reaction though to mobile testing is to test beyond the the GUI interactions. I have found so many bugs related to software behavior influenced by hardware and firmware. How do you handle this kind of testing? Do you consider it? Example: Testing an application's behavior when charging the device is something which cannot be automated. Well, okay there are various situations which need to exist for the testing to be done. Draining superficially the battery charge is dangerous and doesn't always report accurate results.
Do you consider the temperature of the device? How about the CPU speed when the software is performing specific functions?
