Complex Embedded SW Requirement based Testing
Hello all testers,
I have 2 years embedded software testing experience. I read some papers, magazines, books about "Auto Generating Test Cases". There are several approaches :
1- Text based requirements writen into formal requirements, these formal req helps to form system states and senario generating algoritms create test cases from system states. Than by using the embedded system interface put as an input these test cases.
2- The Embedded software's Class model diagram, use case diagram and manually created squence diagrams creates system's state model diagram. All the messages and the system states are known by this state model diagram. Search tree algoritms create automatically test cases by using model. Than by using the embedded system interface put as an input these test cases.
What dou you think about these tecniques. Is there any way to create Auto req-based test cases to test complex embedded systems.
