I'm working on a web application, and have automated the following process:
Select a menu item.
Verify that the correct page is displayed
Verify that the correct help topic is attached to the page (separate window)
Next menu item
My active data is on a shared drive (it was on a local, but the same error was occuring).
After executing two or three rows of active data, I always get the error "Internet Explorer has caused an error and must be shut down..."
I'm using Windows XP SP3, IE 7, TP 6.1.0 b252. I have replicated this on other Windows XP machines, as well as Windows Vista SP1.
Talking with Compuware tech support, they suggested I increase the MouseDelay value - I've increased it from 100 to 500 to 1000 ms with no change in reliability.
Has anyone else run into this kind of problem? Were you able to solve it? What steps did you take? My latest conversation with Compuware included the suggestion that maybe this is a TP application error.
