I recently created some accounts with Executor permissions for the other members of QA to use to run our Automation scripts. When I try to run a script however, I get the following TestPartner error message:
Security service: Write access is not authorized.
Project name BillReview, Asset type Object Map Entry, User name QAUser.
The error dialog does not show up if I assign the account Full Access rights to the project, but when I do, running a script creates new Object Map entries.
I don't understand why it is creating Object Map entries if I'm just executing a script.
Also, does anyone else have this problem? Shouldn't an Executor account be able to just execute a script? Why is it trying to create objects when it's not supposed to?
I had a WebEx session this morning, and the conclusion was that you need to give Full Access permissions. I don't think that's a good solution, but I was having a really hard time understanding the person because their phone was static-y, really quiet, and they had an accent, so it was really hard to hear/understand what they were saying. And we're moving buildings today, so I decided to just end the call since I had to take care of some things.
I don't think giving Full Access is the right way to go about it, since other members might inadvertently change some code without knowing they did so.
Also, by giving Full Access, Object Maps are created, and I don't think they should be.
I'll probably report the issue with more details after we get settled into the new building, and hopefully get someone with a better phone and connection.
