Error Handling with Active Data
Appreciate any help on this.
I was wondering if something had attempted to write a script with activedata, selecting data from the spreadsheet to a combo box and if the data in the row does not exist the script will go to error handler close the screen and go to the next row in the spreadsheet. i have tried this, and it does seem to work fort the first item (that does not exist) but then fails to go to the error handler if the second item is incorrect too.
On Error GoTo ErrorHandler
DotNETForm("Regulatory Disclosure DocumentDotNETForm").Attach
If Err.Description = "Control selection failed" Then
DotNETForm("Regulatory Disclosure Document DotNETForm").Attach
Open "c:\error.txt" For Append Shared As #1
Write #1, "Failed/does not exist in dropdown list ", vbCrLf
Re: Error Handling with Active Data
You may need to re-post your code as it doesn't look complete. There are a couple of things that I see wrong right off the bat. There is a 'Next' without a 'For' and you probably shouldn't use a goto to return from the error handler. You should avoid goto's when possible. I would use the OnError method instead.
