We are currently experiencing some problems with TP6.0 and TP6.1 at two different customer sites. Both machines are win xp with local admin rights.
While playingback a tp script, tp crashed once but won't start up again. Not even after uninstalling and reinstalling tp again. It starts an instance which is visible in the taskmanager but it fails to start up correctly.
Does anyone recognize the problem and knows a solution?
I have not had the same problem, but since you did an uninstall and reinstall, the only common area that is left is the database. Did your reinstall include a new database? Or hook up to the existing one?
I did a webex with Compuware and now it's in the hands of the lab. This problem occurs common when the user account is not in the administrator group. I have to check this out.
At another customer site we also have this problem. We logged the starting of TP there and there it failed to load
C:\Program Files\Compuware\TestPartner\Svcs\TPSvcActiveData.d ll.
removing this file and copy one of another machine solved the problem for now. But we have to see if this solves my problem also...
