If I understand your question correctly, after recording your script you would use the "playback" feature. Once the playback is completed (or stopped) a results window will pop up displaying everything that went correctly or incorrectly as well as any checks that you put into place.
Thanx for ur reply. Actually i meant like if one page, suppose login page i m testing. So first i recorded the processes and playback ,that time one error (servor error or some other error)is coming so i will sent the error to developer for debugging. After correcting that errr developer will send that page for testing again. My question is like this time i wanted to do record once again or only play back is enough?
In some cases you may need to record the script again or change recored script a bit. It may happen when developer changes properties that are used to identify objects. To avoid this make sure that developer knows that you are using Test Partner to test the software and that he knows how TP recognizes objects.
Also keep in mind that your software might not work when cdertain data is entered. If you only record and playback, you're only testing with one set of input, while your developer might be testing with different input and getting a bug... in which case simply playing the script again won't be good enough.
Before you ask that question you need to evaluate whether automated testing would be an advantage. Anyone here will tell you that automated testing will take a lot longer initially to implement than manual testing, so you'll need to do your homework on when automated testing is needed and from there you can judge what the advantages will be.
Irregardless of the initial cost, the main advantage of automation is repeatability. The same test will run the same way over and over again, where a manual test is at the whim of the person doing the test.
