Has anyone else noticed this problem? I get the "Object doesn't support this property or method" error when it hits the line of code that checks the visibility property.
Does TestPartner 6.0 fix this? We're not going to switch over any time soon if we don't have to since we're really busy right now. If it's required for IE7 though...
Put a break point in the line in the test script where you get this error. Add a watch on the object whose visibility property you are trying to get. My bet is your object is null, i.e. it does not exist in the active window. You need to look at your overall script and work out why that object is null, maybe you have navigated to the wrong place in the app?
I submitted a question to Compuware and hopefully they'll get back to me soon.
I wrote a test script with the following code:
<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>If HTMLComboBox("ID='l_ProviderType'", tpAttachNoWait).Exists Then
End If</pre><hr />
I navigated to the same spot in the app on two machines, one running IE6, one running IE7. The IE6 one returns True, the other one throws the error...
I haven't really looked at this problem but if this still works against IE 6.0 and does not work with IE 7.0 then I would guess that it's an Object Model problem with IE and not so much a TP problem. Somebody tell M$ to fix this [img]/images/graemlins/smirk.gif[/img]
