I have an application where the GUIObject name has changed. The changes are in the scripts, so I can't just change the Object Map. That's at least what I think. Here is an example of the line of code:
The old one is:
<font color="blue"> </font> GUIObject("Name=TrendControl ClassName=WindowsForms10.Window.8.app3").Attach
<font color="black"> </font> The new one is:
<font color="blue"> </font> GUIObject("Name=TrendControl ClassName=WindowsForms10.Window.8.app.0.378734a"). Attach
<font color="black"> </font> This is a C# application. I'm wondering where the changes has it origin. Does anyone recognize this problem? Could the reason be that we uppgraded Visual Studio? I know there has been changes in code as well, so Visual Studio is not the only parameter changed. Before i go thru all scripts and lots og the checks and change them, I'd like to be sure that this can't be corrected by the developers...
Re: Different GUIObject name for the same applicat
It works with both "GUIObject("Name=TrendControl ClassName=WindowsForms10.Window.8.app*").Attach" and
I will still need to go trough all the scripts and checks to correct this. Is there any other way? Like changing the <AppDomainID>?
I understand that the problem is some settings for recording, and if I had used other I wouldn't have this problem. I'm new on using TestPartner, and haven't found where this settings are. I'll attach a screenshoot of the properties for this. Looking at this I don't understand where the problem is.
