I am a novice/first time user of TP but with a c# programming background. I am trying to automate a java web application on IE 6 using TP 5.4. I have recorded around 10 scripts for a module.
Is there anyway that I can write one master script that runs all the scripts ignoring any failures in the order i.e. the script should run all of them even one of them fails in succession.
Is there a possible way for logging the errors and error handling based on the failures for each of the scripts separately? possibly in an excel file.
Thanks a lot in Advance
You can create a driver script which runs the scripts:
on error resume next
And in each script use an error handler which logs failures:
on error goto log_error
' insert your test steps here
' insert code to write the error to Excel
' use e.g. the err object
this might also help you regarding script driver

You can also use QADirector, which is built to do precisely what you are asking to do.
Thanks a lot for your help. I am getting there.
What should be I doing to get the result of the script (pass/fail) in order to log it in my results file.
My Driver Script is as follows
My Log file should be as follows
Script Name Result Errors (if any)
Script1 (where can i get this value from?)
me.Name represents the script name, err.Description the error message, err.Source where the error occured, etc. see help on the err object
