ToolStrip Questions on Selection and status

OK I have a toolstrip that has a number of items (bitmaps).
Some are enabled and others are not.

    I have two questions.

1)Have tried the following and one time it works and the next time it might not and I can't understand why.
In this instance this selection is always enabled on the tooltsrip.
    A
    DotNETToolStrip(strObject, tpAttachNoWait).Attach
    'DotNETToolStrip(strObject).SelectIndex (intSelection)

    B
    DotNETToolStrip(strObject, tpAttachNoWait).Attach
    DotNETToolStrip(strObject, tpAttachNoWait).SetFocus
    DotNETToolStrip(strObject, tpAttachNoWait).SelectIndex (intSelection), tpMouseSingleClick, 1, 1

    C
    DotNETToolStrip(strObject, tpAttachNoWait).Attach
    DotNETToolStrip(strObject, tpAttachNoWait).SetFocus
    DotNETToolStrip(strObject, tpAttachNoWait).SelectIndex (intSelection), tpMouseSingleClick, 5, 5

    D
    DotNETToolStrip(strObject, tpAttachNoWait).Attach
    DotNETToolStrip(strObject, tpAttachNoWait).SetFocus
    DotNETToolStrip(strObject, tpAttachNoWait).Select (intSelection)

Is there any way to make it work 100% of the time.

2)Is there any way to find out if a specific item on a toolstrip is enabled or not?
The following was tried and doesn't work.
    (DotNETToolStrip(strObject, tpAttachNoWait).Select (intSelection)).Enabled

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Re: ToolStrip Questions on Selection and status

    Hi,

    Dim o As Object
    Set o = DotNETToolStrip(strObject, tpAttachNoWait).Object

    MsgBox o.Items.Item(1).Enabled

This will give you 'TRUE' or 'FALSE'

    Regards,
    Vishwas
