Hi, Im new to test partner, but come from a SILK background. I have looked all over the posts and all over the "help" in TP (Version 6.0) but am really stuck on something so simple.
I am looking to find out what the variable is getting from the spreadsheet, or print that to a message box. Here is a sample code.
Dim ResultData_Row As TActiveDataRow
Dim ResultData_ActiveData As TActiveData
Dim iRowCount As Integer
Dim i As Integer
Set ResultData_ActiveData = LoadActiveData("Environment")
iRowCount = ResultData_ActiveData.Count
For i = 1 To iRowCount
sData = ResultData_Row.GetString("Password")
The above line is where I am getting stuck and where I am getting errors. I'm just not getting it and would appreciate any help. I know this is basic, but once I get this, I should be able to figure out the rest.
Also, I am closing that above code with a Next statement. Any help is appreciated.
I've never used these methods but can tell from your code that the problem is there's no link between ResultData_ActiveData and what is in ResultData_Row.
After declaring ResultData_Row, the next time you mention it you are trying to use its GetString method but you haven't assigned anything to the variable.
If you want to iterate through the rows in ResultData_ActiveData.Count, inside the For loop you need to do something like "ResultData_Row = ResultData_ActiveData.Row(i)" (or whatever the syntax is for that object).
Then you have row(i) inside ResultData_Row and the GetString method should work.
