How to grab text from the Status bar?
Hello, I am trying to grab text from the browser's status bar. The website does a search and the status bar displays the time in which the search took. I am trying to test to see if the time displayed is in the correct format, but I cannot seem to capture the text. I am using VBScript.
Somebody I knew got "DoneInternet" on a normal internet page with these lines of code:
MsgBox GUIObject("ClassName=msctls_statusbar32 Caption=''").CaptureText</font>
Before this, I attach to the IEWindow as well as the HTMLBrowswer. However, my test errors out, saying it can't find the object to attach to.
Re: How to grab text from the Status bar?
I tried solving the issue which you are facing but I was able to get the text "Done" (which you are searching for) only after creating an alias map for msctls_statusbar32.
After I created the alias map I am getting all the captions in the status bar as a continuous string.
May be you can try that and work on it.
