We have an application that has 300+ entries that need a specific checkbox checked and we would like to create a TestPartner script to do this. The problem is that the application is only available via a Citrix session/connection and when you record the script the object recorded is "GUIObject("ClassName=CtxICADisp Caption=''")" with everything else being keystrokes or positional clicks.
I have recorded a script that does the correct keystrokes but when I execute the script the results are sporadic. I do not have a lot of confidence that the script will execute as expected since I'm not able to reference actual fields/values visible on the screen.
To check the status of the checkbox that needs to be checked, I'm using a bitmap check.
Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions on how I may be able to enhance the reliability of my script?
Installing TestPartner on the citrix server is not an option at this time.
Re: Using TestPartner to record script over Citrix
There is no GUI object recognition for Citrix, because there actually are no GUI objects on the client side. It's just some kind of bitmap that is displayed inside a window. The bitmap shows the remote desktop which is running on the desktop server. So if TP is not installed on the server and you said this is no option, there is no chance to see any objects on the client side.
