managing a batch run
I am not 100% sure about error handling so am seeking some advice please.
If for example i have
If test1 fails at any point and cannot progress I need that test to be terminated and logged and test2 to start (after doing a clean up operation)
What would be the best approach here please, this would be on any failure at all.
Re: managing a batch run
The error handling must be in each individual script.
In test1, the error code & text should be part of a user check or log comment. Then exit the script. By reading(handling) the error, you prevent TP from crashing and gets you back to the driver script & test2.
On Error GoTo ErrorHandler
UserCheck Me.Name, False, Err.Number & Err.Description
