This afternoon, while reviewing the results of a very long script, TP started to error each time I clicked the "Save as expected" button on a failed check result.
After this, it started to throw errors pretty much whatever i did.
This is an example of an error:
Message = Invalid argument.
Trapped at location, File: .|CODBCLog.cpp, Line: 1322
CException Runtime Class = CDBException
Code: -1, Invalid argument.
I know it's a long shot, but whilst I'm waiting for Tech Support to get back to me, has anyone seen anything like this before? I've been right through the help, backed up my database, and attempted (and failed) to fiddle about creating a new db to try. I haven't yet uninstalled and reinstalled, because I'm scared of what will happen to my database if I do this.
If any of you do have any ideas, they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
"Even when the experts all agree, they may well be mistaken."
You might want to try exporting all your objects out of this DB (perhaps just the most recent version of each asset), then create a new DB and import the objects into that. I haven't seen the error before, but it sounds like perhaps the DB became corrupted, or its size has grown to the point that it can't be extended any more. IF it is a corruption or size problem with the DB, an uninstall / reinstall probably won't buy you anything. Try the export/import.
