    Problem of automatically playback repeatedly

I am generating an automation script for the installation and un-installation of a software.I want my script to playback repeatedly 2 or 3 times automatically once i run the script.Anyone know what the commands i have to use it?
The program flow is like below:

Installation > reboot > un-installation > reboot ...and repeat it

Are you talking about a basic loop?

Re: Problem of automatically playback repeatedly

It is not the basic loop. What i means is after i click the playback button,TP will execute the installation script and install the software into the window. After the installation, the window will be automatically rebooted. Then, when the window start up,the TP will be invoked automatically and call the another un-installation script to uninstall the software. After that, the installation and uninstallation process can be repeated for many times automatically.Have any codes or tools in TP to do it?thanks

You will have to get a third party tool in order to restart TP through a re-boot. Check out the TP group in Yahoo.

Re: Problem of automatically playback repeatedly

Use this link to learn how to add programs / files that will run automatically immediately after a Windows starts up:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314488/en-us

Add a ".bat" file to run at start up as explained in the above link.

In the ".bat" file write a command for running TestPartner from command line automatically:
    tp -u<Username> -p<Password> -d<ODBC DSN> -r<Project name> -s<list of script names delimited by space>

Use some mechanizm of switching between running "install" and "uninstall" scripts at each start up, for example save (programmatically from VBA code) in a some file the name of the next script that should be run at next start up. In the .bat file read the script name and use in the command.

Re: Problem of automatically playback repeatedly

    Chand,

Please read the forum guidelines regarding thread hijacking. And this is the Testpartner forum, not the QTP forum. You might be better served if you post your question in that forum.
