In my app we have a bitmap (a little exclamation mark) that appears or disappears based on other data. I am able to successfully check for this using a Bitmap check. But I also want to be able to check for the non-existence of this bitmap.
Basically, I tried to run my bitmap check, but if it fails I just want to continue without reporting an error to the log. I tried the following based on a suggestion from the help:
Dim bmpCheck As TBitmapCheck
Set bmpCheck = BitmapCheck("ExclamationMarkCheck")
On Error Resume Next
If bmpCheck.Execute = True Then
UserCheck "ExclamationMarkCheck", False, "Exclamation should not show"
I thought this would somehow suppress the error. If I use ExecuteCheck it will throw up the error box when it fails. The above code won't do that, but it does report it as an error in the log.
Any suggestions for how to check for non-existence of a bitmap? Would an event be better, and then wait for it to fail?
