Unspecified error when importing a reference
I imported a library of scripts and objects developed by another group at my company. I then went into the References dialog and checked one of the functions from the imported libary. When I click OK in the dialog, I get an error from Microsoft Visual Basic saying "Automation error. Unspecified error." When I re-open the References dialog, I can see that the box for the function has not been checked. And I can't use the function in my script. I CAN check functions from other libaries, just not from the one I imported. Any ideas?
Thanks for your help!
Re: Unspecified error when importing a reference
It might be something that you can't add a reference to. References can be added for *.dll, *.ocx,*.olb, *.tlb and *.exe - If what you are trying to select is not one of those it will generate the error.
Also if it is a function from the other library if it is shared then you can just call the function. If not in the script include that module then you can call the function.
Above sub main add '$TPInclude "Name of Module"
Then try to use the function. You might need to make sure they are in the same project.
Unless it is an object library which I think you can add but I am not sure.
