Which is worst 72 or 76
After upgrading to 5.6.0 72 things had been running fine. Heard about the update 76, so naturally I upgraded.
I helped a co-worker write a script. Worked fine
Then I ran an older script I had written (under 72) when it was clicking on a button in IE7 crashes (Yes it is IE7 that crashes not test partner).
I then rolled back (uninstalled) 76 back to 72. This fixed the problem with IE7 crashing.
But now when I run my co-workers scripted it tries to click an item in a combo box (which it does) this then throws an error that we see in the bottom left corner in IE7. The next combo box that the script tries to click on is now blank. (the first combo box choice populates the second combo box).
Here is the error it gives on the page:
Error: ‘form’ is undefined
If I do the same steps the script does the program works fine. If I try to re-record the steps it still gives us the error as I’m recording it????????
Right now I have stayed on version 72 because that is best for me.
Re: Which is worst 72 or 76
All software has bugs. Even TestPartner.
Did you call tech support with your issues? If not, I would highly suggest that you do just that. It may not get you the fix to your problem right away, but it WILL let the developers of TP know that there is a problem. In my experience, they are pretty quick to work on the bug fixes and get patches out.
