Using TestPartner with PureEdge ICS viewer
I am using TestPartner to extract data off of a .xfd file using the ICS viewer plug-in for IE. I have run into an issue where the viewer has a button that is either checked or not checked. There is no property that allows me to see the state of the button. I know that this is a very specific issue, but has anyone else had any dealings with something like this? A code snippet that I am using is below:
temp_string = Button.Text
The problem is that the "X" in the button is not text, or a caption, or anything visible in the drop down list of variables. For some reason, PureEdge (developers of the ICS viewer) made all of the checkboxes into buttons. I can extract the characters fine (they are edit boxes), but not these. I was thinking that it might be a .bmp file that is being set or not set. Any help would be appreciated.
Re: Using TestPartner with PureEdge ICS viewer
Look at the extended DOM properties to see if there is something in there:
dim myButton as Object
set myButton = Button("Caption=Status").OBJECT
... put a breakpoint on sleep 1 and run. Once in debug mode, 'add watch' to myButton. You will see all the extended properties of this button and can access them like...
