Retrieve data from Oracle Database
Somebody could tell me how I can connect to a Oracle Database, execute statements (select or cursors) and pass the retrieved data into variables.
I had seen others post-note, which uses ADODB, but I don't see where is defined the access to these objects in TestPartner. Is posible use ODBC to connect and retrieve data.
A thousand of thanks
Re: Retrieve data from Oracle Database
You can use ADODB together with ODBC connections in Testpartner but you will be using VBA features rather than native Testpartner objects
To be able to use ADODB, you will first need to set a reference to a "Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects" type library in each module, class or script that refers to ADODB. You should see a list of several versions of these libraries under Tools|References - you should probably pcik the latest version.
You will need to save the script or module after setting the reference to bring it into effect.
You then just need to declare an instance of an ADODB.Recordset object and you will have access to IntelliSense to help in setting up the connection string, cursor type, SQL query etc.
