Particularly with object maps, and specifically, when I have oibject maps with wild cards.
When I record scripts, I get things like this:
Window("Microsoft Internet Explorer Window").Attach
HTMLImage("Button Link Image").Click
And sometimes, like this:
HTMLImage("Microsoft Internet Explorer Window \\ Button Link Image").Click
So, I've been assuming that the \\ was like a descendancy operator: that is, that the thing in the Object map as "Button Link Image" must appear inside a thing in the object map as "Microsoft Internet Explorer Window"
I need to match an HTMLImage with nothing unique about it, that is inside a particular HTMLTD (which has a unique ID). I thought I could map the TD, and do something like:
I am not sure what you mean. I have been using TestPartner for 4-5 years and have never seen an attach name that was automatically created with \\ in the name. The only time this is the case is for attach names within checks/events.
An image should learn by a property specific to it. For example the (new topic) image on this page could be recognized by TP in anyway below (depending in Attach Name Profiles)
HTMLImage("Caption='Post New Topic'").click
In the attach name is a property specific to the control, not the parent.
