    Using adjacent text to click or enter text

    Hello,
    I want to be able to get my scripts to use text adjacent to an object on a web page to identify that object. For instance, I would like to be able to tell my script to enter text in an edit box next to "First Name" or some other text without having to use the attach names in TP. This is because in the system I am testing often several of the fields that I want to click or enter text into are named dynamically, and it is very hard to figure out what they are. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks

    /Brian

    Meet your friend ElementID....
    Run this script against Yahoo Mail Login Screen....

    </font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">code:</font><hr /><pre style="font-size:x-small; font-family: monospace;">HTMLBrowser(&quot;Caption='Sign in to Yahoo!'&quot.Attach
    theID = HTMLTD(&quot;InnerText='Yahoo! ID:'&quot.ElementID
    HTMLEditBox(&quot;ElementID=&quot; &amp; theID + 3).SetText &quot;My ID&quot;

    theID = HTMLTD(&quot;InnerText='Password:'&quot.ElementID
    HTMLEditBox(&quot;ElementID=&quot; &amp; theID + 3).SetText &quot;My Pass&quot;</pre><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">This will work even if the ElementID changes because it goes to the
    label object, gets the ID dynamically and finds the Editbox next to it.
