Scripts running by themselves?!
I have been having problems with TP. I ran a script which at a certain point had to attach to an IE information window, click OK and continue. However, for one instance, the window did not appear. When this happened, the script stopped what it was doing and ran form the very start again.
There is no major loop which could be causing this. Also, each time the script is run from the start a new log file is created. When the script ran itself it created a new file so it must be starting from the very start.
Does anybody have any ideas what this could be?
Re: Scripts running by themselves?!
With a script open, go to Tools~Visual Basic Options. Click on the General tab then read below:
Error Trapping Using the "Break on Unhandled Errors" Option
TestPartner's default Error Trapping option is set to "Break on Class Module". This setting is in General Tab of the Visual Basic options in TestPartner.
If there is no active error handler present during TestPartner script execution, and the "Break on Unhandled Errors" Error Trapping option is selected, the script may loop back to its start and terminate with a run-time error at the line of code that throws the error. This issue will be addressed in a future release of TestPartner.
