TestPartner blind to DevExpress Controls?
I'm trying to use TestPartner to automate an application that is a web-based application.
I find that TP will not recognize clickable areas within a screen that the programmer says are, "DevExpress Controls."
In the application, I can manually move the cursor on the screen to an active area by using the tab key on my keyboard, but no keystroke will invoke the function. Only by clicking the mouse on the clickable area will the application respond.
TestPartner seems to be blind to this window and will not recognize these clickable areas. The identify function shows this window to be: "Object Type: GUIObject 'WindowForms10Window.8.app5'" I can not use the analog position of the mouse, either, and double-clicking the mouse while the window is active gives no effect.
Any ideas? I'm at a loss as to how to use TP to automate this application.
Has anyone encountered this problem, and if so, is there a workaround?
Thanks for your help!
Re: TestPartner blind to DevExpress Controls?
Third party .NET controls can be automated using the .OBJECT approach. See "Extending .NET Objects" in the TP help.
You can also search this forum for "Infragistics". They are the most common 3rd party controls but the approach is exactly the same.
