Hrs of running the applications and cannot load scripts
Hi, i have been running script on testpartner together with my company's application. However, it seems that everytime, during the last stage of automation, the script will just fail and performance will stop and not continue anymore.
Can anyone advise me why is this so? Is this due to the system problem or is this because of testpartner being unable to run for more than 1 hrs or more with a load script?? tks
Re: Hrs of running the applications and cannot load scripts
Sounds like you may have either a resource or memory leak, or resource conflict. First thing i would do is make sure that the problem is not part of the script by running the section that is failing in isolation. If this fails, run the same procedure manually to ensure that it is not a problem with the app being tested. If this works, and you are happy that it is not a bug in you script it is possibly a resource shortage. This means that the combination of all the software running on your test machine is using more resources than are available at one time.
Use task manager to check if this is the case, see
for further details.
If the problem does not show itself under the above circumstances, it is more likely to relate to a memory or resource leak in your application (or possibly testpartner). I would check this by running your app under an execution profiler such as boundschecker or AQTime.
