Failed Text Checks that cannot be opened?

A few months ago we upgraded from version 5.2.1 to 5.3.0. Since then we have been having wierd issues with failed Text Checks.

1)We will run a suite of automation scripts overnight and look at the results in the morning. When browsing through the results, we sometimes come across Text Checks that show as being failed in the log records. However, when we try to double click on these failed Text Checks, TestPartner will not bring up the window that it normally does that allows you to compare the expected version of the check to the failed version of the check. Instead it just sits there and does nothing. Clicking on other legitmate fails in the same suite will bring up the Text Check comparisons as we expect. If we then run the failed, but not openable automation scripts individually, they will not fail. In all instances if we then run the suite again (on the same version of our software), the same failed but not openable Text check test cases will not fail, however a new test case may have the same issue.

2)The second issues I have had recently is when looking through some of the log records, I will notice some failed Text Checks. When looking at the comparison of the failed to the expected Text Check, there will just be text missing from the failed text check. In the check, we will expect 10 items in a list for instance. What TestPartner actually sees in the check however is just items 1, 3 and then 5-10, with blank spaces in the list where items 2 and 4 should be. When these scripts are then run individually or the suites are run again, these checks pass and the missing item text is seen.

Has anyone else seen either of these issues and if so, do you have any tips about what could be causing them/how to prevent them?

    Thanks!

Re: Failed Text Checks that cannot be opened?

Upgrading from any version of TP to TP5.3.0 always had some issues. Similar problems do exist, but installing the latest Service Pack 1 for TP5.3.0 may solve some or all of your problems.
    There's always one more bug.
