Are you saying that you wrote a TP script to create files and folders, and this is causing a crash? If so, post your code so we can see if there is a problem with it. Or are you saying while TP is running, you switched into Windows Explorer to manually create a folder or file, and this caused Windows Explorer to crash?

I've never had issues with crashing Windows Explorer while running TP, but I'm on Windows SP1.

It happens when I switch into Windows Explorer. And it is the Explorer which crash.

We see the same problem with TP 5.4.
You just need to have the Testpartner opened (no scripts have to be running) and then go to the Windows Explorer and click right mouse and select "New -> Folder".
Then the Windows Explorer crashes. You have to go to the Task Manager and re-start the explorer.exe.
If the Testpartner is closed, everything is ok. This problem is reproducable.

I had this problem too. It was caused by Data Execution Prevention. I was able to prevent these errors from occurring by turning DEP off for Testpartner.

To do this, go to Control Panel > System > Advanced > Performance Settings. Select the Data Execution Prevention tab. Select option "Turn on DTP for all programs and services except those I select:" and use the Add button to select the Testpartner executable. This will add it to the excepted program list as "TestPartner Main Exectable". Click OK and restart.

Here is the technet article on enabling/disabling DEP.
