    VBA Error

    Hi Guys!!!

I am trying to install TestPartner 5.1.1
While installing it is searching for VBA 6.2

And giving me the error message as
"ur current VBA is 6.0.9999, and TestPartner needs 6.0.8734 and later."

I am really confused, I am not getting VBA update
    on microsoft support site also.

Can anybody help me on this?

    Thanks in advance

    Ajinkya

    Re: VBA Error

Is it working for you? It seems that 6.0.9999 > 6.0.8734 the way I'm reading it.

    Re: VBA Error

Some Micrisoft products like OfficeXP will replace (or) create a conflict with VBA. If you have any software which you think may use VBA...try uninstalling those softwares and then reinstall TP after deleting all the registry settings.

You need to delete the following registry settings(including compuware directory):
    1.HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\compuware
    2.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\compuware

let me know the result if u proceed with my suggestion...
    There's always one more bug.

    Re: VBA Error

    Thanks a lot everybody.

    The solution I found is.

I was having office 2003, I have uninstalled it and then installed office 2000.

As VBA is related to MS Office, i have changed the version of it.

Please let me know anybody facing the same problem
and if above solution is not working.
(For me it is working perfectly fine)

And one more thing I want to mention, being a new member to this site, I am extremely thankful for quick support from experts in this field.

    Ajinkya

    Re: VBA Error

    Hello,

Is this the only way around this issue? I have TP 5.2.1 and Office 2003, which has VBA ver 6.0.9972. When I try to launch TP, I get a msg that TP is not compatible with this ver of VBA.

Before I ask desktop support to uninstall Office 2003, does anyone know of an upgraded TP where this is not a problem?

    Thanks!

    Re: VBA Error

    mebeworf,
I believe you have a different error than Dajinkya. You just need to download TestPartner service pack 3 and apply it to your system. It's available at frontline.compuware.com
